I have been training in Bharatanatyam since the age of 4 and have been a student of Guru Smt. Suman Nayak (Artistic Director of Natesha School of Bharatanatyam) since the age of 13. After completing my Arangetram in 2013, I took it upon myself to learn how to do hair and makeup for arangetrams under the guidance of my guru. Since 2017, I have been responsible for the hair, makeup, dress-up and stage management for over 40 Bharatanatyam photoshoots and Arangetrams in San Diego and continue each year!

While working as a corporate professional, I have been freelancing on the side for dance events, graphic design, and mehendi and decided to follow my passions by bringing Alankrita to life!
